Elgin Echo, Thursday, 8 October 1908.

Dr. Spalding, a well-known dentist of West union, died at his home in that city Friday morning. He had arisen as usual and then went back to his room and laid down on the bed. When his wife went to call him she found he was dead. Deceased was on the street the day previous apparently in his usual health.
