Huntington Barnes of West Union, 90 years of age and the oldest race horse driver in the United States, died at his home in that city Tuesday. Barnes, who was training horses up to last week, began riding and driving in 1849. He drove horses under the wire last year. He was apparently in his usual health up to a few days of his passing. He was a noted and somewhat unique character and was well known to the horsemen of this section of Iowa in the past seventy years.
