Mrs. Mary Laughren, one of the pioneers of Wadena, Iowa, died the morning of Jan. 21, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Fennell. Deceased was a native of Ireland and was 70 years of age at the time of her death. Emigrating to this country as a child she settled near Hanover, Ill., removing a few years later to Grand Island, Iowa. Twenty-four years ago the family took up their residence at Wadena. The Fennells are favorably known all over Fayette county.
