Postville Review, Friday, 26 January 1917, from the Elgin Echo, undated.

The funeral of Mrs. L. V. Humphrey was held at West Union Monday from the Presbyterian church. The lady died at her home near Luana Friday after a short illness. She was well known to many of our people and her death will be deeply regretted. Interment was at the cemetery at West Union.- Elgin Echo.
