Postville Review, Saturday, 26 May 1877. In a letter from the papers Clermont correspondent.

Little did we think, when we went home on Thursday evening, and saw Mrs. J. B. Dennis sitting at work at 11 o'clock, that she would never see the sun rise again, but such is the case. She was taken sick about 2 o'clock in the morning and between 4 and 5 o'clock she was dead. One of Clermont's best and noblest women has gone out on her returnless voyage. Sunday morning at 10:30 the funeral took place at the M.E. Church, almost everyone in town in attendance. J. B. Dennis was absent at the time of her death and has not yet returned. It will be almost a death blow to Burdet when he learns of his mother's death.

NOTE: Due to travel time of the correspondents letter her death most likely occurred on Friday of the previous week, or 18 May 1877.

Submitter is not related.
