West Union, Ia. - Christian Science funeral rites will be conducted Thursday afternoon from the Burnham funeral home for Julius J. Nagel, by his daughter, Mrs. Augusta B. Hoyt. Interment will be in the West Union cemetery.

He was born at Garnavillo, coming here 32 years ago. He was a retired farmer, and had lived the past six years with Mrs. Hoyt.

Surviving are nine children, Mrs. Augusta Hoyt, West Union; Mrs. Addie DeGraw, Hazleton, Ia.; Frank Nagel, Wauzeka, Wis.; Roy Nagel, West Union; Elba Nagel, Monona, Ia.; Mrs. Leonard Jolly, Celina, Ohio; Miss Mary Nagel, West Union; Mrs. Harley Powers, Gillman, Ia.; Mrs. Velma A. Smith, Detroit, Mich.; and 34 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
