HERBERT PINNEY

Herbert, the eldest son of Elmer and Lydia Etter Pinney, died at the family home in Elgin, Saturday, January 11, 1919. His death was due to pneumonia following influenza and his illness dates back to Christmas time.

Herbert was born July 16, 1900. He was a quiet, industrious lad and will be missed from the family circle. He was a graduate of the Elgin High school being a member of the class of 1917.

There are left to remembered the son and brother; the father and mother, three sisters – Mrs. Mabel Sorenson, of Rochester, Minnesota, Ruth and Frances at home, and three brothers, Fred, Elmer and Frank, all at home.

The funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the home, Rev. Wedel conducting them Burial was made in the Elgin cemetery.

Those who were here from a distance to attend the funeral were Mrs. Soren Sorenson of Rochester, Minnesota, and Ern and Lou Etter of Courtland, Minnesota.
