Fayette County-Farm Fatalities.
The ranks of the Fayette county poor farm have been considerably thinned during the past few weeks, as the Argo says that since the first of the month there have been six deaths at the county farm, four of them from smallpox. All told there have been twelve cases. The last one to be taken down with the disease was Mrs. Hoover, an aged lady. The four deaths from smallpox were Sam Buck, who is supposed to have brought the disease to the county farm, Ed Lockwood, Dwight Mabb and John Burkhart. The other two deaths were Levi Learn, aged ninety years, who died of dropsy of the heart; Becky Aldstier, an aged woman, who has long been an inmate of the home and who died from cancer of the stomach. It is now believed the smallpox is under cotrol and that there will be no more new cases.
