John Crowe, a resident of Clermont for 45 years and for 22 years postmaster there, died very suddenly at his home last Monday evening of heart failure, death coming without a warning. He was 73 years of age and a man held in highest esteem by a wide circle of friends and acquaintances. The funeral was held from the Catholic church in Clermont Wednesday and was largely attended. The sympathy of many Postville people is with the sorrowing family.
