Charles Cityans Receive a telegram stating mother is dead
Formerly lived at Basset
Leaves large family of grown children to mourn her loss --- Details meager
Word was received in this city yesterday of the death of Mrs. D. A. Guyer at the home of her son, Chas. Guyer of Hancock, Minn. The particulars concerning the death of Mrs. Guyer are very meager. The telegram which came to her son F. L. Guyer of this city, conveyed but the simple statement of her passing away and the probable hour at which her remains would reach this city.
Mrs. Guyer was one of the oldest settlers in this part of Iowa, living for many years in the vicinity of Chickasaw and Bassett. She leaves a large family of sons and daughters to mourn her death. They are F. L. and G. A. Guyer, both of this city, and well known employees of the Hart-Parr co.; Charles Guyer of Hancock, Minn.; Mrs. J. K. Tucker of Bassett, and Mrs. G. E. Granger, Backus, Minn. Mrs. Guyer was twice married and of her first marriage, three sons survive. They are J. H. Huffman of Canada; J. H. C. Huffman, Cottonwood, S. D., E. B. Huffman of Minnewaukon, N. D.

Funeral Services will probably be held in this city, next Monday at the Methodist church, of which the deceased was a staunch member. The remains will then be shipped to Clermont for burial.
