FAIRBANK - Marie Ann Allen, 78, of Fairbank, died Thursday afternoon, Dec. 20, 2007, at the Strawberry Point Lutheran Home, of complications of Alzheimer's disease.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 24, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Fairbank, with the Rev. Harry Koelker officiating. Burial will be in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Fairbank.

Friends may call from 4 until 7 p.m. Sunday at Woods Funeral Home, Fairbank, with a scripture service at 7 p.m.

Marie Ann Kleitsch was born Jan. 11, 1929, at Walker, the daughter of John Joseph and Anna Regina, Abel Kleitsch. Marie married Dean Allen on June 2, 1948, at the IC Church in Fairbank. She was a long time area resident, homemaker. and mother. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Marie especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband Dean of Fairbank; four daughters, Carol (Mike) Tilley of Bloomington, Ind., Karen (Al) Matthews of Fairbank, Mary Kay (Denny) Frost of Fairbank, and Pam (Gary) Miller of Rosemount, Minn.; nine grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; one sister, Margaret Kane of Maynard; and one brother, Norbert (Loyola) Kleitsch of Fairbank.

She was preceded in death by five children in infancy, Gary, Jane, twins Ann and Tresea, and Dawn; one grand-daughter Liza Frost; one infant grandson Brian Tilley; three brothers, Dale, Edward and Orville Kleitsch; and her parents.
