OBITUARY OF MRS. HORACE R. MORSE.

Mrs. Horace R. Morse, the former Thelma I. Boehmler, was born February 23, 1915, near Cedar Falls, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert E. Boehmler. Her childhood and youth were spent in Fayette county and she graduated from the Randalia High School upon completion of her formal education.

On June 9, 1935, she was united in marriage with Horace R. Morse. They became the parents of three daughters. Mrs. Morse was an industrious and devoted wife and mother, possessing an ardent concern for her home and family. Having been baptized as a child, she, with her family, united with St Paul’s Methodist Church on April 6, 1952.

On May 6 Mrs. Morse was critically injured at her home and taken to the Community Hospital at Postville where she died last Sunday, May 13,, at the age of 47 years. She was preceded in death by two brothers who died in infancy and her mother who died 10 years ago, May 7, in 1952.

Survivors are her husband, Horace, and their three daughters, Mary who is Mrs. Richard Jarms of Iowa City; Jean, Mrs. Leonard Schutte of Castalia; and Patricia of Seattle, Wash.; also four grand children. Additional survivors include her father Albert Boehmler; two sisters; Maxine (Mrs. L. H. Bock) of Cedar Falls; Marjorie (Mrs. Larry Benings), Waterloo; and three brothers; Clifford Boehmler of Hawkeye; Robert Borhmler of Williston, Fla.; and Lest Boehmler of Snohomish, Wash.

Following the service at Elgin, St. Paul’s Methodist Church burial was made in the family lot at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Casket bearers were Larry Horan, LaVerne Hyde, Albert Matt, A. C. Nesbit, Otto Schweinefus and Louis Theis.
