Obituary.
J. W. Palmer died at his late residence in this city the llth inst.. after a years illness during which he was a great sufferer. Ha came to Iowa 30
years ago from New York and settled in Independence where he resided 'till five years ago, when he came to Oelwein. For the past year he has lived with his daughter, Mrs. McLain. who
with his wife kindly eared for him in his illness. Beside the wife and daughter he leaves a son residing in Washington. The funeral was conducted
by Rev. Abramson and the remains were entered in the Hazleton Cemeterv.
