Funeral services for retired carpenter, Roy A. Hawkins, age 76, of Arlington, Iowa will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 28 at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home, with burial in the Taylorsville Cemetery, both in Arlington, Iowa.

Roy A. Hawkins died Friday, February 25, 1994 at the Strawberry Point Lutheran Home in Strawberry Point, Iowa after a sudden illness. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie, who passed away on April 8, 1993 and a son, Duane "Butch" Hawkins; a grandson; and three brothers, Marion Hawkins, Everett Hawkins, and Floyd Hawkins.

Roy A. Hawkins is survived by his daughter, Linda (Bryan) Schmitt of Wadena, Iowa; three sons, Bert E. Hawkins of Canton, Maine, Jerry R. Hawkins and Bruce A. Hawkins, both of Strawberry Point, Iowa; 14 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Glen Hawkins of Humboldt, Iowa and James Hawkins of Des Moines, Iowa and a sister, Susan Taylor of Tucson, Arizona.
