John Scriven, died 1916

This community was saddened to hear of the death of John Scriven, an old resident here. He died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Will Trezona, near Elkader. Interment was made in County Corners cemetery Friday. He had lived in Putnam twenty-five or thirty years and was respected by all who knew him.
