Dola Blake Loucks, only daughter
and youngest child of Leonard and
Laura Blake was born March 28, 1896
at the home in Oelwein, Iowa, where
she spent her early life. Attending
the public school and later completing
the business course from the Oelwein
College. Later moving to Chicago,
Ill., where she spent active life.
During the World War she went-to
Washington, D. C. to do her share in
the activities of that time. After the
close of the war she was transferred
to Chicago, continuing her busy life.
On May 8th, 1920 she was united
in marriage to Ralph Bruce Loucks, a
World War veteran, only son of Mr.
and Mrs. Jesse A. Loucks of Indianola,
Iowa. They made their home in
Chicago, where Mr. Loucks was in
business. Later moving to St. Louis,
Mo., where they lived for three years.
Moving back to Chicago about two
years ago, where they have since made
their home. Mrs. Loucks has been in
failing health for the past three years.
Passing away in Duluth, Minn., where
she had been with her 'mother for the
past three months. On December 10,
1924 her little son, Ralph Bruce,_Jr.
was born, and with the devoted husband
survives her.
On July 5th, 1905 her father, Leonard
J. Blake passed to the Great Beyond.
She leaves to mourn her loss, her
mother and step-father, Mr. and Mrs.
G. W. Anderson, two brothers, Floyd
C. Blake of Duluth, Minn., and Percy
M. Blake of Brainard, Minn., and
many relatives and friends who
mourn the loss.
The funeral services were conducted
by- Rev. C. E. Hill is in tho First
Baptist church Monday, Jan. 16, 1928
at 10:00 a. in. The interment was in
