Frida Crider

Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 25 for Frida Crider, 90, Elgin, at St. Paul's Methodist Church, Elgin, with burial in the Elgin Cemetery. Muehlethaler Funeral home, Elgin, was in charge of arrangements.

Frida Barbara was born Aug. 21, 1900 at Hazelton to Melchoir and Barbara (Babler) Yenney. She graduated from Elgin High School in 1919 and received her teaching credential from Upper Iowa College. She taught in Oak Grove School.

She married Ray A Crider "Doc" Sept. 7, 1921 at Elkader. They had four children. She worked for 29 years with her husband's veterinarian practice in Elgin.

Frida died Feb. 21 at her home. She enjoyed her family, friends, Swiss heritage and the Elgin community. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray; her parents; three brothers, Mike, John and Elmer; and a sister, Margaret Knight.

Survivors include two daughters, Margaret Keith, Las Vegas, Nev., and Barbara McCully, Burnsville, Minn.; two sons, Keith, Chelmsford, Mass., and Ken, North Billerica, Mass.; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
