Funeral services for Velma Dean, age 84, of Cedar Falls, and formerly of Waterloo,Iowa and Fayette, Iowa, will be held Wednesday, at O'Keefe & Townse-Grarup & Waychoff Funeral Home with burial in the Waterloo, Iowa Cemetery.

Velma, daughter of Sion Grant and Myrtle (Wilson) Dean, was born May 31, 1909 in Fayette, Iowa. She was employed with Deere and Company for 28 years, retiring in 1975.

Velma Dean died at the Cedar Falls Western Home on Sunday, November 21, 1993 of natural causes. She was preceded in death by her parents, and 4 brothers, Floyd Dean, Roy Dean, Donald Dean, and Arlo Dean.

Velma is survived by four nieces and nephews.
