Leon Jacob Ross, son of S. W.
Ross and Sarah Ross, was born
near Bill City, Osborn. Co., Kansas,
March 12, 1880 and died in Marshalltown,
Iowa at Deaconess Hospital
May 13, 1937, being 57 years,
7 mo. 7 days, old. Surviving are
his son Harold Ross of Hazleton.
la, and daughter Mrs. Charles E.
Smith of Chicago who were with
him at the time of death. Three
sisters and one brother also survive,
as follows, Mrs. Minnie Ross
of Hazleton, Mrs. Belle Clauson of
Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Ethel Lidel of
Moline, Ill., and Harry Ross of
Iowa Falls, one grandson, Morton
Lee Ross of Hazleton, besides
nieces and nephews. His father
and mother preceded him some
years ago. He was baptized in the
Christian church when a young
man.
