Loretta Frances Gust, age 89, of Eau Claire passed away Friday, July 8, 2011 at Care Partners in Eau Claire.
Loretta was born April 23, 1922 in Oelwein, Iowa to Frank and Bernice (Gardner) Kolb. She married Herbert Gust on September 10, 1946. He preceded her in death on June 3, 2003.
She loved flowers and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed the time spent at the lake in Chetek, WI. Loretta worked at the Co-op Shopping Center in Eau Claire and enjoyed many years as the “shoe lady”.
Loretta is survived by her sons, Richard, Oostburg, WI, Ron (Judy), St. Paul, MN, and Don (Sue), Manitowoc, WI; daughter, Diane (Romaine) Knutson, Altoona; daughter-in-law, Anne Gust, Naperville, IL; brother Frank (Carol), Clinton, IA; sisters, Dorothy Kane, Oelwein, IA and Joan Hernandez, Oelwein, IA; sister-in-law, Martha Kolb, Cedar Rapids, IA; nine grandchildren, Anton (Jessica) Gust, Amanda (Michael) Penca, Brent (Dawn) Knutson, Mitch (Angie) Knutson, Ann, Molly, Abby, Devin, Angie Gust; twelve great-grandchildren, Davin, Cole, Brandon, Dacey, and Natalie Knutson, Danyelle and Morgan Moucha, Emma, Ethan, and Ellie Knutson, Sienna and Alex Gust; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her sister Margaret Kolb and brother John.
