Woodrow Wilson "Butch" Hyde

Funeral services for Woodrow Wilson "Butch" Hyde were held Friday, Oct. 21, 11 a.m. at West Clermont Lutheran Church. Rev. Donald Loots officiated. Interment was in God's Acres Cemetery, Clermont, Iowa. Muehlethaler's Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.

Woodrow Wilson "Butch" Hyde was the son of George and Pearl (Becker) Hyde. He was born March 4, 1913 at Osterdock, Iowa. He died October 18, 1988 at Palmer Memorial Hospital, West Union.

He attended rural schools in the Elgin area. On Nov. 26, 1938 he married Lillian Nelson of Elgin. The couple had 2 children They lived on a farm near Clermont for the past 50 years.

He was a member of the West Clermont Lutheran Church where he was baptized and confirmed.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Lillian; daughter, Mrs. Paul (Karol Jean) Pinney of Anamosa; son, Dean (Linda) Hyde of Clermont; 5 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Loran of Waterloo and Laverne of Clermont.

Casket bearers were Wayne Gilson, Jerry Wander, Gerald Schneider, Daryl Sampson, Carlton Krueger, Jay Dibble.

Honorary bearers were Harris Kjosa, Jack Dibbie, Leslie Anderson and Clarion Olson.
