The funeral services of James Gibson
were held at Oran school house
last Saturday. Mr. Gibson was formerly
a resident of this vicinity, residing
a mile west of town, but has
recently been in Kansas. A few
weeks ago he came back on a visit to
N. B. Ross, of Waverly, and then
came down to visit his adopted daughter,
Mrs. Johnson, near Westgate, where
he was taken sick with pneumonia
and died, at the age of seventy one
years and seven months. The deceased
was an uncle of E. N. Ross of this place.
