GONE TO HER REST.—Mrs. Elizabeth
Smith, wife of Lewis Smith, died
Monday morning at 3:30 a. m. aged
62 years. Mrs. Smith was born in
Richland county, North Carolina. Mr.
and Mrs. Smith moved into Harlan
township in 1856 and have lived here
ever since. There were eight children
born unto them, all living except one,
who mourn her loss. Mrs. Smith
was a kind mother and a devoted
member of the United Brethern
church, having been a member for a
good many years in good standing.
She has a large circle of friends who
mourn her departure as well as her
grief stricken husband. Funeral services
were held at the United Brethren
church on Tuesday.
