Funeral services for Gladys L. Kobriger, age 63, were held Wednesday, June 16, 1982 at the Chapel of Memories West in Waterloo, Iowa with burial in the Veterans Garden of Memories Cemetery in Waterloo, Iowa. Rev. James Moog, pastor of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Evansdale, Iowa officiated. Casket bearers were George Atkins, Charles Vondracek, Joe Harn, Al Frahm, Milo Stocks, and Al Landherr.

Gladys Luella Kobriger, was born December 29, 1918, the sixth child of Alfred John and Amelia (Pederson) Olson of Clermont, Iowa. She graduated from Clermont High School and on April 20, 1940 she married Donald Elmo Kobriger in Dubuque, Iowa. While on a bus tour in April with her sister and brother-in-law, Gladys became ill and entered the hospital at Falls Church, Virginia where she died June 11, 1982.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband Don on December 21, 1975 and brothers Olaf Olson and Joseph I. Olson.

She is survived by her children: Mrs. Charles (Sharrol) McEnroe of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Mary Csukker of Waterloo, Iowa, Donald (Julie) Kobriger of Evansdale, Iowa, Susan McBride, Mrs. David (Janet) Penn, Mrs. Sam (Rebecca) Schiess and Rosalee Kobriger, all of Waterloo, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; 4 sisters, Mrs. Kenneth (Agnes) Ellis of Postville, Iowa, Mrs. Henry (Bessie) Hirsch of Marshfield, Wisconsin, Mrs. Clarence (Irene) Thompson of Calmar, Iowa, and Mrs. Orrin (Julia) Roe of Waukon, Iowa; and one brother Leonard (Betty) Olson of West Union, Iowa in addition to many nieces and nephews.
