Ida M. (Beck) Hall 1867 - 1916

- Ida M. Beck was born in Jones county, Iowa
December 29, 1867. She passed away at Oelwein on
April 12, 1916. She was the daughter of David and Sarah
Beck. Her girlhood was spent in the home of her parents
from which she was united in marriage to H. S. Kammerer
on February 24, 1885. To this union were given two sons,
Harry J. and Milton F. Mr. Kemmerer died on August 2,
1892. Two years later she was married to J. E. Hall at
Monticello, Iowa. They moved to Oelwein in March 1895.
Three children were the fruits of this marriage, Cora L.,
Herbert and Claude. Claude died in 1895 and Herbert in
1903. She was bereaved this same year by the sudden
death of Mr. Hall.
- Mrs. Hall has made her residence in Oelwein for many
years. She was held in high esteem by a large number of
friends, many of whom she has assisted in illness. She was
a member of the Grace Methodist Episcopal church since
moving to this city.
- After a prayer at her late residence the funeral was
conducted by her pastor in the Grace Church this city on
Friday morning, April 14, 1916. She was interred in the
cemetery in this city where, resting beside the forms of
her loved ones, she awaits the final resurrection.
- The children and members of her family are deeply
grateful to the many friends who have assisted in their
time of sorrow, and by the kindly ministry and expressions
of sympathy, have helped to lighten their load. '
