Chrystol June Anderson, 85, Clermont, Iowa, died Friday, April 8, 2011, at the Good Samaritan Center in Postville, Iowa. She was born on the family farm on June 25, 1925, in rural Clermont, Iowa, to Martin and Nora (Everson) Anderson. She attended Clermont Elementary School in the Larrabee building.

Chrystol helped on the farm. She enjoyed all of the animals on the farm. She especially liked playing with the puppies and kitties. She moved with her parents into town, where she liked to help wash dishes and empty waste baskets. She enjoyed sitting on the porch swing watching the cars.

After her parents passed away, she moved to Prairie View in Fayette, Iowa for several years, and then to the Good Samaritan Center in Postville, Iowa. She had a very special bond with her older sister, Eleanor, who always knew what she was saying.

Survivors include her sister, Eleanor Shupp, Memphis, TN and her nieces and nephews.

Chrystol was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Andy Anderson and her sister, Anna May Moen.

Memorials may be sent to the Good Samaritan Center in Postville, Iowa.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at 10 a.m. at the Good Samaritan Center in Postville, Iowa. The Rev. Steve Brackett will officiate.

Burial will follow in God's Acres Cemetery in Clermont, Iowa.

Visitation will be held one hour before services at the Good Samaritan Center in Postville, Iowa.

Schutte-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Clermont, Iowa, is in charge of arrangements.
