Mrs. W. P. Llewellyn received the sad news Saturday
of the death of her sister, Mrs. Maggie Serene, which
occurred at the home of her daughter, Mrs. D. A.
Mabon at Moreley, Michigan. Mrs. Serene had been
living with her daughter for a number of years. She
was a resident for many years of this vicinity and will
be remembered by many old time friends who regret
her death. The body was to arrive Monday and the funeral
was set for Tuesday at 1:30 at the Church. Besides the
daughter and sister mentioned, Mrs. Serene leaves four
brothers to mourn her death: James Newton of Randalia,
John Newton of Oelwein, William of Arkansas and Peter of
Bronson, Kansas. Burial will be in Dunham Grove.
