Belle Pinney was born April 17, 1854 and passed away at her home in Benton, Mississippi (sic—should be Missouri), Thursday, March 22, 1928 at the age of 74 years, from pneumonia. The body arrived in Elgin Saturday evening and funeral services were held at the cemetery at 9:30 a.m. and the body laid to rest. Mrs. Pinney had lived most of her life here until 1907 when she moved to Alma, Nebraska, with her son, Alden, where they lived for 3 years then moving to Benton, Missouri where she died. She leaves to mourn her death one son, Alden, and one daughter, Mrs Effice Gayle, and two sons of Beach’s Grove, Indiana.
