WATERLOO — James T. (Jim)
Maillie, 92, of Waterloo, died Saturday,
Aug. 1, in Waterloo of natural causes.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m.,
Saturday, Sept. 5, at the Chapel of
Memories West Funeral Home in
Waterloo.
Burial will be in the Garden of
Memories in Waterloo.
There is no visitation. The body was
cremated.
He is survived by two daughters,
Helen E. Moeller, Rogers, Ark., formerly
of Stanley, and Miriam J. Ryan,
Waukesha, Wis.; one son, Dr. Neil Alan
Scott, Oceanside, Calif., two stepdaughters,
Mary E. Strassburg,
Waterloo, and Ann Hollis, East
Longmeadow, Mass.; one stepson,
David E. Grosse, Waterloo; 14 grandchildren;
21 great-grandchildren
He was preceded in death by one son,
J. Burton, and his wife, Dorothy J.,
May 21,1986.
He was born Feb. 20,1900, in Sumner,
the son of Robert and Minnie Fox
Maillie. He married Dorothy J. Grosse,
Dec. 31,1953, in Waterloo.
He was an insurance agent for 60
years and owned and operated J. T.
Maillie Insurance Agency in Waterloo
