Darrell L. Judd the eight year old son of Mr. And Mrs. Lyman Judd was taken to St. Franicis Hospital at Waterloo Monday for the removal of tonsils and adenoids. The child never recovered from the anesthetic and expired about 7 o’clock in the evening. The body was brought to his home here at 11 o’clock and short services were held at the house Wednesday morning at o’clock conducted by their pastor, Rev. H. W. Artman, and the body was taken to Westgate, their former home, for interment. Darrell was born near Westgate, October 11, 1910, and was a great favorite with his playmates and all who knew him. He has not had robust health for a number of years, having had infantile paralysis from which he never fully recovered. Besides his parents, he leaves four sisters to mourn the death of their only brother. The sympathy of the entire community goes out to this bereaved family in their sorrow.
