Died, at her home in Maynard
Thursday Jan. 5th, 1899, Mrs. S. T.
Rathbun. She was born in Smithfield
township, in 1862, was the eldest
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard
Badger. Married to S. T. Rathbun in
1882. Her husband and six young
children are left to mourn her loss as
well as a large circle of relatives and
friends. She was a member of the
Presbyterian church. The funeral was
held on Friday Jan. 6th, and largely
attended. Her pastor Rev. Conybeare
spoke with much feeling, of her triumphant
death and many good qualities.
Relatives were present from
West Union, Fayette, Grove Hill and
Oelwein. Much sympathy is expressed
for the family of little children left
motherless, and bereaved husband.
