E. C. Ross is in receipt of a paper
containing an obituary notice of the
death of his uncle, Rev. J. Rairdon.
at Belfre, Kansas. His death occurred
January 17. He was formerly a resident
of this locality, and was a Baptist
minister. In the early days he
proclaimed the gospel without fear or
favor in the country round about Oelwein,
and is well remembered by some
of the old settlers in these parts.
