WESTGATE
Mrs. Peter Messerer died at the home of her daughter
Mrs. Harding in Banks township Friday. Funeral
services were held at the German M. E. church three
miles north of town Sunday, July 4. She and her
husband came to Fremont township in the fifties when
the country was new and stated a home in the little
colony that came with them. They raised a large
family which have been a great credit to them. Her
husband preceded her a number of years ago for a home
beyond where they are again united.
