Services for Mrs. Glenn A. Borland Sr. were held at
Zion American Lutheran church with the Rev. Paul C.
Lutz officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn cemetery.
Mrs. Borland, 64, died at Mercy Hospital Nov. 2.
Born Linda Elizabeth Rockdaschel in 1895 at Sumner
to John and Wilhelmina Mueller Rockdaschel, she was
educated in the public schools.
She married Glenn A. Borland in 1913. They moved
to Oelwein after their marriage, where they have lived
for the past 46 years.
Survivors include her husband Glenn; one son Glen F.
of Madison, Wisconsin; one grandson, Brad; two brothers
George Rockdaschel and Henry Rockdaschel, both of
Sumner, and one sister, Mrs. Lena Hack of Lakeville,
Minnesota.
