A. Brassie, whose serious illness we
noted last week, died at his home near
the Kansas City tracks on Frederick
street Tuesday night. He suffered
great deal during his illness. A post
mortem examination was held Wednesday
morning, being conducted by
Drs. Baker, Pattison, Cozens, Col
and Hodge. The examination disclosed
the fact that most of the inner
organs were diseased, the stomach and
liver malignantly so. The liver was
enlarged to about three times its normal
condition and weighed 15.5 pounds
It was hard to determine whether the
disease was of a cancerous nature or
tuberculosis, so a portion of the parts
were sent to Dr. Gilchrist, of the State
University for examination. The
case was one of interest to the medical
fraternity. The funeral will take
place from the Catholic church today
services being conducted by Rev
Father O'Connor.
