DIED. —At the home of his mother
in this city Monday night, of malarial
fever, Charles Brassie, aged about
twenty-three years. He had been sick
for some time but was improving,
when he suffered a relapse and grew
gradually worse until death came to
his relief. Charles was a bright young
man and one highly respected by all
with whom he associated and will be
sadly missed in those circles where he
moved. He was a line singer and musician,
having more than ordinary talents
in these directions. The funeral
services will be conducted from the
Catholic church today. The sympathy
of the community goes out to the grief
stricken mother and other loved ones.
A sister from Streator, Illinois, and a
brother and sister from Chicago are
expected to be present at the funeral
services. After a brief life he rests
from all his labors.
