Died, at the home of her daughter,
Mrs. E. E. Smith in this city last
Sunday night. Mrs. H. Tipple, aged
seventy seven years. The deceased
was born in Worcester, New York,
July 26,1816. She was married on
Sept. 14, 1834. and was the mother of
several children all of whom have
died except Mrs. Smith, Her husband
is dead also, Mrs. Tipple had been a
resident of Oehvein for about fifteen
years and was highly respected by all
who had formed her acquaintance.
The funeral was held Tuesday. Old
age and cancer were causes of death.
She had long been a sufferer from the
above disease, and although a successful
operation was performed a month
or six weeks ago, all traces of the disease
were not removed and it continued
to prey upon her system, which
being weakened by old age gradually
gave way under the undermining influence
of the disease.
