Lynn J. Winterowd, for more than thirty years a
resident of Oelwein, died yesterday at his home
in Waterloo, where he had moved a few months
ago. The remains will be brought to Oelwein
tomorrow and at two o'clock tomorrow afternoon
at the Methodist church, the funeral services will
be held and interment in Oakdale Cemetery.
Mr. Winterowd has been engaged in several different
lines of business during his residence in Oelwein.
He has operated a second hand store, a billiard parlor,
a grocery store and other lines. He was a member of
the Knights of Pythias, the Elks and the Woodman
lodge in this city.
The deceased was born near Marshalltown, March 13,
1868. On December 25, 1894, he was united in
marriage to Miss Ida Rominger of Legrand, Iowa and
moved to this city. He is survived by his wife, sons Floyd and
Vernon at home, and a daughter, Vera, who is teaching
