Julius August Kelm 1837-1898

The deceased Julius August Kelm,
son of Martin Ludwig Kelm and Elizabeth
(Schultz) Keln was born the 13th of
June 1837 at Zusully, Province of Posen,
Germany. The 4th of March 1859, he
married the one who is now mourning
..................'Pauline Kelm (Bueloss), at
.(missing).........near Eczin in the Prov-
......................., Germany. His children
......................Emil, August, Henry and
.......................married.
'......................year of 1868 he made his
..................tailoring. Then he concluded
........................America where he arrived
........................before Pentecost, with his
.....................three children. After having
.....................Independence, la., for some
...................tied on a farm in the so called,
............................near Littleton, Buchanan
.....................where he lived until six years
..............when he became an inhabitant of
.......Oelwein where he died Dec. 3rd, after
Illness of ten days. The cause of his
death was very complicated as he suffered
heart trouble, inflammation of
bowels and finally a stroke of paralysis.
He lived in a quiet unostentatious
way, humbly seeking the truth,
which alone can save. He was a member
of the Lutheran church where he
was to be found regularity every Sunday,
devoutly serving the Lord in his
congregation, being guided by His
hand, whom as we hope he now serves
in eternal light and bliss. The funeral
took place Tuesday, Dec. 6th, from the
Lutheran church to the Oelwein cemetery.
