Mrs. Zona L. Inman was born
March 1, 1872 at New Hampton,
Iowa. She died in Oelwein April
23, 1965, having reached the age of
93 years, one month and 23 days.
The daughter of Levi A. and Harriet
Barker Tyler, she was married
to Harvey E. Inman Aug. 8, 1896
at Marble Rock, la.
Mr. and Mrs. Inman moved to
Oelwein in 1897 In 1919 they left
Oelwein to make their home in
Wisconsin where they lived until
1954.
Mrs. Inman is survived by one
son. Lee Inman of Oelwein, and by
four daughters. Mrs. Ray (Harriet)
Wilder of Wautoma. Wis.; Mrs.
William I. (Heula) Kilts of Cutler
Ohio: Mrs. Howard (Eunice) Moody
of Elkhart. Ind., and Mrs. Fred
Francis) Sampson of Malvern, Arz.
She is also survived by 18 grandchildren
and 56 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death
by her husband, one son, one daughter,
one brother, three sisters
and one grandson.
Mrs. Inman was a member of the
First Baptist Church of Oelwein and
was honored as one of the oldest
members, not only in terms of
her age but also in terms of the
length of her membership in the
church.
Funeral services were held at
Brant Funeral Home Sunday
April 25. 1965 at 2 p.m. with the
Rev. William D. Scott officiating
