Mrs. Edward (Etta) Cross 1861 - 1910

Mrs. Edward Cross passed away at
her home in South Oelwein Sunday
Her death was the result
of a complication of paralysis and
pneumonia and came to relieve her
suffering after an illness of about
thirtv-six hours.
Etta Hurd was born in Iowa April
29,1861, and was therefore 47 years, 3
months and 3 days old. With her husband
she has lived for some time in
this city and had become well known
and liked because of her bright and
generous disposition. Funeral services
will be conducted from the Baptist
church tomorrow morning at 10
o'clock. Rev. J. J- Tatum officiating.
The sympathy of a host of friends is
extended to the bereaved husband

The funeral services for Mrs. Ed
Cross who passed away Sunday were
held from the Baptist church this
morning at 10:30 o'cock. Rev. J. J.
Tatum officiating. A large number
of the friends and relatives of the de-.
ceased were present to pay their last
respects and the body was interred in
the old cemetery.
The members of her family who
were present were her father. L. A,
Hurd of Waterloo, and two sisters,
Mrs McArthin. of Waterloo, and Mrs.
Frank Cook of Battle Creek. Mich.
