DIED -- At the residence of her son,
F. H. Howard, in this city, on September
1st, 1892, Mrs. Margaret C. Howard,
aged 53 years, 2 months and
17 days. The deceased was born in
Indiana on June 14, 1839, where, her
father died when she was an infant.
In 1840 she removed with her mother
to Ohio, where they resided until 1850,
when they moved to Strawberry Point,
Iowa, where she was married to W. M.
Howard. August 8, 1858. She was
a member of the Methodist church and
a very kind and devoted wife and
mother. She leaves a husband, two
sons and two daughters to mourn the
loss of her whose place can never be
filled. Funeral services were conducted
at the residence of her son
Saturday. September 3rd, by Rev. F.
M. Robertson, after which the remains
were taken to Strawberry Point for
burial, where many other friends are
at rest. All of the children were
present at the funeral.
W. M. Howard, F. H. Howard and family,
F. R. Howard, Mrs. J. C. O'Brien and Mrs.
W. S. Beels, unite in extending the following.

express our sincere thanks to the many
neighbors and friends who so kindly and
willingly assisted us, during the sickness,
death and burial of our dear wife and mother.
