Frank I. Badger was born July
28. 1872, the son of Richard and
Lucetta Badger. He died Tuesday,
Nov. 13, 1951 at Mercy hospital in
Oelwein, having reached the age
of 79 years.
Mr. Badger, one of 13 children,
was a retired farmer. Married to
Mattie Burch, Oct. 13, 1897, she
preceded him in death Jan. 18,
1937.- They had a son,. Kenneth,
and a daughter, Imogene, both
deceased.-
Mr. Badger was' married to
Mina Davis June 4, 1941, and she
survives him. He leaves also one
brother, Elmer Badger of Stewart
ville, la., and a sister, Lucy Peterson
of Quamba, Minn.; four grand-
children . and four greatgrand-
children of Republican City,
Neb; two stepsons, Bert and Clare
Davis of Oelwein.
A member of First Church of
Christ in Oelwein, Mr. Badger was
an active member until failing
health in the last few months.
Funeral services were held at 2
p m. Thursday, Nov. 15 from the .
Hintz Funeral home in Oelwein.
Rev. La Verne Ervin, pastor of First
Church of Christ, conducted the
service. Burial was at Oakdale
cemetery, Oelwein. .
Pallbearers were Ivan Hanson,
Roy Anders, E. M. Bradley, Ed-
Nelson, S. M. Andrews and Gerald
Wetlaufer.
