William Cammack 1810 - 1888

DIED.— At his residence in Oelwein,
Fayette county, Iowa. March 26,
1888. Rev. Wm. Cammack, aged 77
years, 5 mouths and 6 days.
Mr. Cammack leaves a wife and
eight children to mourn the loss of
a loved husband and father. Funeral
services were held in the F. B.
church, conducted by the Rev. B. F.
Paul who delivered an appropriate
sermon from the word, "Blessed
are the dead that die in the Lord."
Deceased was born in Withe county,
Virginia, October 20, 1810. In the
same year his parents moved to
Wercer county, Kentucky, where
he remained until 1835 when he
came to Vermillion county, Illinois,
where in 1836 he was married to
Miss Elizabeth Bennet. In 1840 he
with his family moved into Wisconsin.
In 1877 be came to Oelwein
where he resided until his
death. Early in life he embraced
the Christian religion and was united
with the church and was acting
in the cause of Christ until the
infirmities of old age compelled him
to cease his labors.
