OBITUARY—MRS. H. B. SIMS
Jessie May Meharry, daughter
of W. A. and Addie Maharry was
born at Oelwein, Iowa, Sept. 8.
1897, and passed away at her home
Monday, Feb. 21, 1938. She grew
|to womanhood in this vicinity
and on May 12, 1916 was united in
marriage to Harry B. Sims. To
his union were born six children,
Luetta, Benny, Glen, Mary, Marvin
and Elizabeth Ann, all at
home. She is survived by her im-
mediate family, two sisters, Frances
Knos, and Mrs. David Beach
of Ft. Steilacoom, Washington;
three brothers, Ralph of Independ-
ance, Mo., George of Spokane,
Washington and Max of Marietta,
Minn., and her father, Mr. Meharry
of Waterloo. She was baptized
a member of the Reorganized
Church of Jesus Christ of Later
Day Saints, at an early age
and remained a faithful member
until her death. She was a devoted
wife and mother and others
always came first. Her chief interest
was her home and church.
Funeral services were held Saturday,
Feb. 26th at First Baptist
church. Rev. George McFarlane
officiated. Burial was made at
Woodlawn cemetery.—Con
