The death of Prof. Walter Mitchell at Ames
Monday was like a bolt from the clear sky. He
had seemingly been in the best of health, and
written his sister, Mrs. Jas. Birch, that he would
visit her Thursday on his way to West Union.
The last services for him will be held on the
same day in the afternoon at 2 o'clock from the
Christian church. The cause of his death was
heart failure and he was found dead in his room
at Ames Monday forenoon.
