Funeral services for Neil Martin DeWeese, age 80, of Phoenix, Arizona were held on Friday, March 18 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Waucoma, Iowa with Rev. Vincent Simon officiating. Pallbearers were LaVerne Bouska, Francis Bouska, Richard Vrzak, Cletus Bouska, Rodney Vrzak, and Gary Bouska. The St. Mary's Choir provided the music. Burial was at the St. Mary's Cemetery. The Funeral home in Waucoma was in charge of the arrangements.

Neil died March 14, 1988 at a Phoenix, Arizona hospital following surgery. He was the son of Charles and Lucy (Bouska) DeWeese. He was born August 29, 1907 at Alpha, Iowa. He received his education at the Alpha School. On June 7, 1967 he was united in marriage to Delores (Bleucher) Rich at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Waucoma, Iowa. He farmed all of his life near Alpha, Iowa. He was a Farm Bureau and Woodmen of the World member.

He is survived by his wife, Dolores; 3 step-sons, Vern Rich of Dallas, Texas, Russell Rich of Ridgeville, Ohio; Alan Rich of Alpha, Iowa; 10 step-grandchildren and 6 step-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mrs. Edwin (Elaine) Begalske of Hawkeye, Iowa and Mrs. Edmund (Gladys) Schmitt of Cresco, Iowa.
