Mervin C. Hunsberger was born August 22, 1900 in rural Elgin, Iowa. He died April 17, 1986 at the Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin hospital. Funeral services were held on Sunday April 20, at 1:30 p.m. at the Elgin Lutheran Church in Elgin, Iowa. Rev. Donald L. Berg officiated. Dawn Cunningham was the organist and the pallbearers were Ivan Anderson, Jake Schneider, Roy Halverson, Les Lembke, Eddie Long, and Russ Larson. Interment was in the Elgin Cemetery in Elgin, Iowa.
