Mrs. Hope Bayley, 68, died at 2:30 this morning in
Mercy Hospital where she had been a patient.
Services will be held Saturday in Grace Methodist
church, the Rev. Charles Mason officiating. Burial
will be in the Woodlawn cemetery.
The body of Mrs. Bayley will lie in state at the home
of her son, Milton G. Stebbins, 316 First Ave., NE
until the funeral hour.
Born April 1, 1882 in Buchanan county, Mrs. Bayley
was the daughter of Thomas and Susan Stoneman
Hardy.
She is survived by her husband, Harry of 314 First
Ave, N. E.; son, Milton; daughter, Mrs. Marion Bale
of Oelwein and five grandchildren, George and
Sally Stebbins and William, John and Marilyn Hope
Bale, all of Oelwein.
Also surviving are her sisters, Mrs. Harvey Moyer
of Oelwein, Mrs. Susan Jenney of Madison, Wis.,
and Mrs. Harry Dean of Portland, Oregon and
her step-mother, Mrs. Thomas Hardy.
