Funeral services were completed today for Mrs.
George (Adaline Haxton) Schneider. Mrs.
Schneider, 81, died Thursday night at Oelwein
Mercy Hospital after a several months illness.
Services will be conducted at the Brant Funeral
home Sunday with the Rev. Charles E. Mason
of Grace Methodist church, officiating. Interment
will be at Woodlawn.
Mrs. Schneider was born the daughter of Daniel
and Laura Rawson Haxton at Arlington August 9,
1868. She had lived in Oelwein for 50 years.
Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Mrs.
Martin Pogenklass and a son, J. L. Riche, Oelwein;
three grandsons, three great-grandchildren, six
stepsons, Lee, Donald, Ray, and Ivan, Minneapolis;
and Cecil and Arthur Schneider, Oelwein and Mrs.
Ben Jenkins, step-daughter.
